The visual artist Irini Drosou (Aerienirti) manages the materiality of painting through gesture, matter and writing. On a first level her work is revealed occult, while on a second level each shape and form determines its particularity by directing the interpretation of its spatio-temporal significance. The painterly, motionless gestural energies are transferred as stylistic shapes that are enriched with meanings of intuitive insight. The traces as hints meet the chromatic, repetitive games of the line. This persistence of kinetic and chromatic energy constantly transforms the static point of the first imprint.
Irini Drosou paints by promoting her aesthetic “abstract” dialogue, without the great risk of the enormous freedom that the abstract provides to its creator. Her paintings are images of a chromatic automatism that is poetic and possesses chromatic sensitivity. With abstraction, the gaze sinks into the subconscious, detecting images of the unimaged. It is then that the image becomes a confession and the colors silently narrate themselves.

Η εικαστική καλλιτέχνις Ειρήνη Δρόσου (Aerienirti) διαχειρίζεται την υλική υπόσταση της ζωγραφικής μέσω της χειρονομίας, της ύλης και της γραφής. Σ΄ ένα πρώτο επίπεδο το έργο της αποκαλύπτεται απόκρυφο, ενώ σ΄ ένα δεύτερο επίπεδο κάθε σχήμα και μορφή καθορίζει την ιδιαιτερότητά του κατευθύνοντας την ερμηνεία της χωρο-χρονικής σημασίας του. Οι ζωγραφικές αεικίνητες χειρονομιακές ενέργειες μεταφέρονται ως σχήματα ύφους που εμπλουτίζονται με σημασίες διαισθητικής ενόρασης. Τα ίχνη ως νύξεις και υπαινιγμοί συναντούν τα χρωματικά επαναλαμβανόμενα παιχνίδια της γραμμής. Αυτή η εμμονή της κινητικής και χρωματικής ενέργειας μεταλλάσσει διαρκώς το στατικό σημείο του πρώτου αποτυπώματος.
Η Ειρήνη Δρόσου ζωγραφίζει προωθώντας τον αισθητικό «αφηρημένο» (abstrait) διάλογό της, χωρίς τον μεγάλο κίνδυνο της τεράστιας ελευθερίας που παρέχει το abstrait στη δημιουργό του. Οι πίνακές της είναι εικόνες ενός χρωματικού αυτοματισμού που είναι ποιητικός και διαθέτει χρωματική ευαισθησία. Με την αφαίρεση το βλέμμα βυθίζεται στο υποσυνείδητο ανιχνεύοντας εικόνες του ανείδωτου. Τότε είναι που η εικόνα γίνεται εξομολόγηση και τα χρώματα αφηγούνται σιωπηλά τον εαυτό τους.
